The school garden is up and running! Embracing big the fine weather we were out doing some weeding getting the beds ready for planting!
As part of our integrated learning on the theme of space we built a rocket in class, prepared ourselves for take off and broke through the atmosphere into space experiencing zero gravity (all through drama!). The children all had great fun and then gave interviews to an imaginary news reporter explaining what they experienced and felt during the whole space project.
Rinneamar dán darbh ainm 'Teach Babóige' le haghaidh an taispeáinteas Gaeilge. Tá súil againn go dtaitníonn sé libh!
We did a poem called 'Doll's House' for the Gaeilge show. We hope you enjoy! We had a great day out at imaginosity. Our day includes pretend play, climbing, engineering, building, science experiment demos and everyone got to do an experiment of their own!
World book day was a huge success. The costumes looked great and we all had great fun parading around the yard as our favourite characters.
In class we wrote a book review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and read books of our choice every day during DEAR time. On Friday we drafted our fairytales adding descriptions for characters and making sure we had all our capital letters and full stops. Some amazing stories were written!! We made delicious pancakes in class and then wrote all about how we did it!
